This workshop will provide clinicians with the information needed to protect themselves while helping clients navigate both typical and high-conflict divorce and custody litigation.  The court process will be explained to better prepare clients and advice on communication with the court will be covered.  There should be ample time for Q & A, so come with your questions!

Upon the completion of this workshop, participants will be able to:

1) List factors to consider in high-conflict divorce or custody cases while working with children;

2) Explain the typical divorce or custody case process to help the clients know what to expect;

3) Create a response letter if a parent asks them to write a letter to the judge in a divorce or custody case.

Heather A. O'Connor had three kids under the age of six and no college degree when she decided to become a divorce attorney while going through her own divorce 16 years ago.  She believed that she could make a huge difference in the lives of others going through a divorce in the future. Today, she is living out her dream as the owner of O’Connor Family Law, a prominent litigation-based family law firm based out of Westborough, Massachusetts.
