Announcing the New Practice Tools and Resources Member Benefit on Masspsych.org

Jennifer Warkentin, Ph.D., Director of Professional Affairs for MPA

I am pleased to present a new addition to our Professional Affairs site - Practice Tools and Resources! This new page covers a wide range of topics that are relevant to clinical practice, and provides links to a wealth of valuable information for our members. These topics include general practice issues, such as HIPAA, evidence-based practice, and sample forms, as well as Massachusetts-specific resources, such as recordkeeping requirements, mandated reporting forms, and licensure. Instead of providing a narrative on these topics, these pages provide a list of resources, including websites, articles, and forms, because I wanted to keep it easy to navigate and ensure that you have access to the most up-to-date information.

My goal in creating the Practice Tools and Resources pages was to provide you with an easy-to-access resource where you can quickly gather the information you're looking for, as well as one that you can take your time exploring, to learn about new resources or aspects of clinical practice. There is helpful information here for all psychologists, regardless of the setting they work in, type of service they provide, or population they serve. I also view this as an ongoing project, and I will continue to add resources and tools as they become available.

It is only through your membership in MPA that I am able to spend the necessary time compiling these resources on your behalf, and this represents one of the many ways that we are stronger when we come together than we are when we remain isolated. I encourage you to tell your colleagues about this valuable resource, which would become available to them by joining MPA.
