Dear MPA Members,

The MPA Board of Directors requests that APA members pay particular attention to upcoming e-mails from APA that will provide the opportunity to vote on two separate issues important to state psychological associations. Below is information on each of those votes and MPA BOD's recommendation on how to vote to benefit MPA.

APA BYLAWS VOTE CRUCIAL TO STATE ASSOCIATIONS

Every APA member eligible to vote should be receiving an email around November 14 containing a link to their ballot for a vote on a by-laws change that is very important to state psychological associations. This bylaws change, if approved, will ensure that each state, provincial, and territorial psychological association will have a voting representative on the APA Council of Representatives. The current method of allocating apportionment ballot votes does NOT ensure that all SPTAs would have a vote. PLEASE - if you are eligible to vote, exercise your right and vote to approve this important change to the APA bylaws. Thank you.

NOTE - this is a different ballot from the Apportionment Ballot vote mentioned below.

APA APPORTIONMENT BALLOT VOTE

On November 15 every APA member eligible to vote will receive an e-mail with a ballot link for the 2017 APA Apportionment Ballot vote. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Each APA member is given 10 votes - and they can give them all to one entity or spread them around various entities - SPTAs and Divisions. If MA and other SPTAs do not get a high vote we could drop SPTA seats - and we don't want that to happen. It is CRUCIAL so we ask each of you to give ALL or a portion of your 10 votes to MA. VOTE FOR MA ON LINE 82. Thank you.
