Massachusetts Psychology Political Action Committee

 

 

The Massachusetts Psychology Political Action Committee (MPPAC) gives Massachusetts Psychologists a voice in the public policy arena on behalf of your practice, patients, and profession, and is one of our most powerful resources to make a difference on Beacon Hill.

The Mission of the MassPsych PAC:

  • To encourage people to become more active in the governmental processes that impact psychological services.
  • To increase awareness of political issues and officials impacting psychologists.
  • To assist psychologists and others interested in organizing for more effective political action.
  • To contribute to candidates and committees who demonstrate support for psychological services.
  • To raise money in order to contribute to candidates and committees mentioned above.

Important Legal Information:

  • All contributions to MassPsych PAC shall be voluntary and no contribution shall be solicited or secured by discrimination, reprisal, and threat of discrimination or reprisal or by any unlawful means.
  • Corporate contributions are prohibited and will not be accepted. 
  • No contributor to MassPsych PAC shall have a right to share personally in any funds or assets of the committee upon its dissolution, or at any other time.
  • Contributions to MassPsych PAC may also be made by separate check.  Those checks can be made payable and mailed to: MassPsych PAC, 195 Worcester Street, Suite 203, Wellesley, MA 02481.  Please note that by law PAC donations cannot exceed $500 per person, per year and can only be accepted if made by personal check, partnership check, money order or personal credit card.  It is also important to note that contributions to the PAC are not deductible on federal or state tax returns.
